Wave
laser-cut plywood offcuts, 2013
48 x 144 x 3 inches
This piece incorporates over one thousand scrap triangles, sourced from a laser cutting company producing build-your-own rocket kits for children, part of a body of work creating decorative objects out of discarded material of the so-called maker movement.
This work began while in residence at McColl Center for Art + Innovation (take a peek inside that studio here) and finished at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft.
